Front Lawn

I have been working as a massage therapist for 23 years. I have always been a treatment-oriented massage therapist. My approach is integrative. I focus on the support system which everything attaches to and is surrounded by. It is called connective tissue or fascia.

When we are injured, stressed, in chronic pain, post-operative, post-partum, after long illness or slow to heal injury, we protect ourselves by assuming postures and positions which stop or decrease the pain. At some point we become bound by our poor posture, shortened ligaments, tendons and scar tissue.

Our next injury or stress overloads our system and now the pain is chronic. This is the time most clients come for massage therapy. I work with people to help them attain greater mobility, decreased pain, and a better understanding of how to maintain their own flexibility.

I am branching out now to teach exercises for mobility, focused awareness movement exercises and the yoga I practice to stay flexible. All courses will be offered outdoors. We will walk the paths on my land and do our exercise classes on the front lawn and at the back of the property.
